How to register
Interested candiates should obtain the Registration Form from the YMCA Institute of Media Studies and Information Technology between 11am to 4pm on weekdays. Registration Form can also be obtained by sending an e-mail to info@imii.co.in

Fees
Rs 5,000

How to pay
A cheque/demand draft of Rs 5,000 drawn in the name of New Delhi YMCA Education Centre should be submitted along with the Registration Form at the YMCA office.

Eligibilty
Sports journalists, freelancers, media graduates and those media students who are in the second and third year of graduation.
Faculty

Dave Bloss: He is a Knight International Journalism Fellow who earlier worked as Sports Editor at The Providence Journal in the American state of Rhode Island where he covered the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games. He will share his experiences of covering international sports events and provide insight as to how the Sports Reporters should prepare for the upcoming Games.

PohPoh Si Teng: She is a multimedia journalist based in Delhi and currently working for the Wall Street Journal and Global Post. She has worked as a staff video journalist and multimedia producer for the Associated Press in Florida, and has also produced multimedia packages for The Miami Herald and The Virginian-Pilot. Poh Si's "60 Seconds" interactive video won the McClatchy President's Award.

v.krishna_imgV. Krishnaswamy: He is one of India’s leading and most widely traveled sports journalists. Among the major positions that he has held are those of the Sports Editor of The Indian Express and The Pioneer. He has covered five Olympics, six Asian Games, four Commonwealth Games and several World Chamionships and National Games during his nearly three-decade-long career. He is a well-known television commentator also.

Jody McPhillips: She is an American newspaper reporter who has covered a wide variety of topics, from law and politics to health care and technology. She has taught journalism and ethics in the Caucasus, Indonesia and East Timor and developed investigative reporting centers in the Republic of Georgia and East Timor. She is currently a Knight International Journalism Fellow.

vsrivastva_imgV. Srivatsa: He has covered several Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and national sports events for The Times of India. His experience ranges from planning coverage of multi-disciplinary events to giving shape to the Sports pages of The Times of India. During his illustrious career spanning over three decades he has led and guided large teams of sports reporters.

Sunil Saxena: He has over three decades of experience in Print, New Media, Research and Journalism Education. He set up twelve websites in five languages for The New Indian Express Group, and launched the Group’s online information and research service. He is a New Media specialist and is currently piloting India’s first mobile audio news project for rural areas for the IMII.

Who can apply: Graduates proficient in English or Hindi or both.

Course Fees: IMII is looking for the best and the brightest among students, and does not want fees to prevent talented boys and girls from joining the Post-graduate Diploma Course. The fee for the Course has therefore been kept at Rs 50,000
